The Process

If you've made it this far, something you've seen on my website has probably resonated with you. That's wonderful! The next step is reaching out to schedule your free consultation call with me. You can do that by filling out the short form here.

First Steps

Once you've sent the contact form, I will respond to you typically within one business day. We will chat via e-mail to set a date and time that works for you.

On our call, I will ask you to tell me a little about yourself and what you're going through, without jumping into the deep end just yet. This is to make sure I am a good fit for your needs. If I don't feel that I will be able to help, I will provide you with a list of referrals.

If we're both happy with our conversation, we will set a date and time for our first official session! This first session kicks off the process of building our therapeutic working relationship.

Our first session will likely include a bit of treatment planning and goals clarification. It's important that we both know the direction we're going to start moving towards. I expect the majority of this first session to include history-taking and getting to know specifics of your current scenario.

The Feel of Therapy

Our sessions will likely feel like informal conversations. For every person, therapy may look a little different, but the conversation, often making room for humor, will likely be a theme throughout.

I tailor my approach to try and best fit each individual’s needs, drawing on many different techniques and strategies to best serve your purpose.

The beginning of our work together is about building the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space for you.

Next, we will move into clarifying your direction and stepping into
responsibility and change on your own terms.

While I may bring certain knowledge and skills to our work, you will always remain the expert on your life and what is best for you, and I will honor that throughout our work.
